Basically, I rebelled against obligations. From early on, I figured that time was a more important resource than anything else (it arose from a deep-seated insecurity that I had – I came from a February 1997 Limited Edition Outfit Retro 25th Bday Gift T Shirt high program so I was always feeling behind and always feeling like I had to catch up and academically prove myself to everyone else), so ever since I was a mid-teenager, I fiercely resisted doing anything that I couldn’t learn from, and tried to find ways to waste as little time as possible (if I had the self-control to do so, anyways – I still wasted hours on online forums, but since I had no other obligations, I still had plenty of time). So I used various arguments to make it very painful for my parents to ask me to do chores (or non-academic tasks), and always carried a book with me whenever there was a remote possibility of waiting for anything. And I (mostly) only read non-fiction because I always felt like I was having to catch up Also, I generally don’t like going to class since I generally don’t get much out of it (I have ADD), so I often skipped class and read all these interesting books while I was absent from class. When I didn’t skip class and zoned out during lecture, I’d often just read books during class. That being said, the time I spent on books is largely uneven. Sometimes, I can stare at a few pages, but then finish the rest of the book in the fraction of time it originally took. It’s hard to explain this, but I’ll give a quote from a wonderful book I read about ADD (it’s called Driven by Distraction).

It looks the same wherever people who celebrate the Lunar New Year are found. And—it is also different with everyone as well. My daughter and I had a very simple celebration: we watched the New Years Gala aired from China, I read a nasty to her about the Lunar New Year, I gave her and some close friends their “red envelopes,” and I attempted to make steamed dumplings. (I…may have filled them too full and accidentally made dumpling soup instead. But at least it tasted delicious). After that we watched fireworks. We are not a Chinese family, so I imagine for many Chinese families, many more activities took place. All around the world there are parades, fireworks and celebrations! Below is a video of New Year celebrations around the world: Countries shown in the video include: China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, USA, and The UK.

I have a small Eskie; she’s about 11 lbs. She’s 13 now, but when she was very young I had concerns about socialization. At the time I was an assistant principal in a high school, so I brought her to work with me the first 2 months that I had her. From a young age, she was acclimated to a lot of February 1997 Limited Edition Outfit Retro 25th Bday Gift T Shirt and lots of handling by strange people. As a result, I have the only Eskie that my Vet enjoys seeing; he says she is the only one in his practice that hasn’t snapped at him. These dogs were “hot” about 10 years ago, but there were some issues. Aggression and incessant barking were the two I heard most often. I see far fewer these days. An Eskie is not a good choice for a beginner, in my opinion. Of course, it depends on the dog, but the odds are not in your favor. Your were given excellent advice already: adopt a shelter dog. Much less expensive, some training in place, and it’s a good deed that usually comes with a terrific reward.

The universe expands from an unimaginably hot and February 1997 Limited Edition Outfit Retro 25th Bday Gift T Shirt speck (perhaps a singularity) with all the known forces unified. In a tiny fraction of a second tremendous changes are unleased. The strong force separates from the electronuclear. The weak force then separates from the electromagnetic. ~1 microsecond into this process Quarks are confined within hadrons. 1 millisecond in hydrogen nuclei are formed. 1 second in neutrinos begin to interact with other particles. At about the 3 minute mark helium nuclei are formed. 379,000 years in, the plasma cools enough for stable atoms to form and photons are released from this veil forming the Cosmic Background Radiation we see today. It’s 100 million years before the first stars can form, many generations of stars are busy creating the heavy elements necessary for life as we know it from the process of fission (both during the life of the star and during nova, supernova, and stellar collisions including those of neutron stars). All of these things almost certainly had to happen before life could form. So that’s somewhere around 1 billion years later before there is likely to be a place that is hospitable to life as we know it. But that’s even before galaxies have formed so that may be way too early, we just don’t know for certain.
